Spring Term Two
Football
On Thursday 25th February our Year 4 and 5 Football team played their first
Rose Bowl match against Woodstone Primary School at Ravenstone. The
game was very competitive but at half-time Woodstone were 1-0 up. During
the second half of the match Woodstone took greater control of the match
and scored two swift goals followed by another goal late in the match. The
children played really well in their first competitive game. Well done to the
team: Matthew, Oliver, Elliott, Jake, Emily, Alfie, Oliver, Cameron and Jenson.
Year 3/4 - Collaborative Football Match vs New Swannington – Friday 26th February
A mixture of year 3 and 4 children took part in a collaborative football game against
New Swannington Primary School. The team put in an impressive first half
performance leading 2-1 at the break. There was a good sense of teamwork and
some nice passing on show. The team continued their strong performance and won
the game 5-2. Excellent effort and attitude from all the children involved! Well done:
Jack, Ethan, Thomas, Seren, Lewis, Luke, Joshua, Joseph and Callum.
