 Approved by the corporation with no changes.
Fundraising






Lucius’s “This IS Halloween” Friday, October 16th at the Alley.
o Matt from the Alley gave this money to Luscious. She told Vadra that it was hers to keep. We
will not see this from her.
Husker grill out Panic 2 pm Saturday, October 17th raised $110.00!
Greg’s “Candy Shop of Horrors” Saturday, October 17th at The Point in GI raised $504.00!!!!
Husker brunch on Saturday, October 24th raised $81.00!

We continuously need items for raffles.
o Upcoming Fundraisers
 Kid’s Sunday Funday October 25th 2 pm to 6 pm at the Panic.
 Alex is having a show at the Panic on Saturday, November 21st at 10 pm.
 Greg’s Show Saturday, November 21st at the Max at 7 pm. Kephanie and Vadra will
attend this.
 Greg’s “Leather, Lace and Fishnets” Friday, December 11th at the Alley.
 Vadra’s Birthday Show Saturday, December 12th at the Panic. Nellie will do the door
at this show.
 Alex’s Holiday Show Saturday, December 19th at 10 pm at the Panic.


Roca volunteer opportunity $10.00 per person per day.

Raffle the bikes; winner will be announced at Vadra’s b-day show on December 12th.
Raffle tickets will be $5.00 per ticket or 3 tickets for $10.00.


Theme and Date for 2016

We need to start thinking about the 2016 SCP Theme so we can get it designed, get it on the web site
and in future promotional material.
o Riley said Omaha is having their pride on Saturday, June 25th.
o Possibly going to have a Junior Mr. and Miss SCP this year.
o We will be voting on the date for Pride 2016 at the November meeting.
Bylaw Changes


If you see any changes that should be made to the Bylaws please let a board member know.
We are planning to create an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
o This will be discussed at the next meeting.
o Greg mentioned putting in details on how the quorum will work if there are items that need to
be voting on. This should be a quorum of the board.
Pride Committee’s



Next month we will be establishing committee’s for PRIDE 2016. If you are interested please let a
board member know.
Committee members will be required to meet the 3rd Sunday of the month immediately following the
regular meeting.
Committee’s include but are not limited to:
o Volunteers
o Entertainment – Greg to head
o Advertising – Kephanie and Riley to head
o Sponsorship – Nellie to head
o Vendors – Vadra to head
o Raffle Items
o Pageant – the corporation voted to have Rick Schwank aka Sheeza to be the Pageant
Coordinator at the September 27th meeting. He has made suggested changes that we will go
over today.
 Kimmer officially registered the Star City Pride Pageant. This was a cost of $100.00.
o High School Involvement – Kimmer and Vadra
Giving back to the community


Now that Star City Pride is 501c3 we need to plan on how we are going to give back to the community
this year. Last year we donated to No Coast Derby Girls (the kids), PFLAG Kearney and Fall for
Pride.
What non-profits do we want to plan to give to this year? What should the budget be this year for
giving back?
o As of right now we are not going to agree to give to any organization but what we will do is
start compiling a list of organizations we would like to give to and once we know what our
budget is for the year we can then decide how much and who to give to.
o Kephanie wants to plan a scholarship program this year. Does anyone have any expertise in
this?
 We need to look into what all goes into doing a scholarship.
Financials

SCP financial books are available at the meeting for you to view if you are interested.
o We currently have a balance of $5,685.05.
 Kimmer had to pay the annual post office bill of $98.00 and the surety bond of
$145.00.
Future Meetings


Meetings will be held the 3rd Sunday of each month (unless decided differently). Advanced notice
will be given if a meeting time or date has been changed or cancelled.
Our next regular meeting is scheduled to be November 15th. The board will meet at 1 pm and the
regular meeting will take place at 2 pm. All meetings will post it on Facebook and on our web site the
week of the meeting.
 October 25th at Bennett Martin Library in the Auditorium.

 December 20th at Bennett Martin Library in the Auditorium
 January 17th at Bennett Martin Library in the Auditorium

Other Items of Business

Vadra and Riley did meet with Tom from Pinnacle Bank.
o Possibly Antelope Park or Pinnacle Festival Lot or Pinewood Bowl. We really want to have it
visible to the public and have it somewhere where parking is more convenient.
o Having it at another venue will allow us to have it be an all ages and we could possible charge
a small entry fee if we did it this way. It would also allow us to have the vendors more
involved with those that are attending.
o Greg would like to have a show in March 2016 in Hastings.
o The step down show for this year’s Mr. and Miss should be done a few weeks prior to the
2016 pageant.
o Luscious has decided to stop down due to personal reason and to focus on his other title. We
will ask for his crown and sash back. Vadra will speak to Sheeza Man about taking over the
reign to finish the year.
o The Board agreed to move forward with FireSpring payments (similar to PayPal). PayPal will
still be an option for people to use.
