Sprouts!! Living Food soaked in Super Minerals By Tony Boutros ND /Nutritionist Over 25 years experience in nutritional science Our cells are alive & hopefully so is every part of our body, our cells have tiny little factories inside them which make our energy, and all our nutrients, day by day we who live in western society put the wrong fuel into our body, mostly dead food, most food we buy is dead food, fast food, refined food, sugar, alcohol, caffeine, white flour products, dead meat, yeast (alive but deadly) soft drinks, stored juice etc. Do you think these dead foods are going to keep these living cells of ours nourished and alive?? No wonder our poor old system breaks down. We need living food, living, energized water (see article on my website www.lifestreamhealth.com.au) to stay young and vibrant. What is living food??? “Mung Bean Sprouts alive, healthy and ready to go”! I don’t mean raw food, yes raw food can be alive if we grow it ourselves and put the needed minerals in the soil (ormus) and eat it right after it is picked, that is one type of living food, once we start spraying food with chemical and store them for weeks or months or years, there is nothing left in them for our cells to feed on. Other types are:-- cultured foods such as kefir, sauerkraut, homemade soy yoghurts, miso, tempeh, cultured nuts, seeds and grains, some of these foods contain the friendly bacteria. AFA is also an amazingly alive food, it is a medicinal algae which is highly medicinal, a powerful living food, again, read my article on Stemcells in my website, its talking about this amazing food source. What I really wanted to get to is sprouting, an important part of living food is enzymes, it is a myth that raw food contains digestive enzymes, it may contain other types of enzymes to protect the plant but not to digest the plant. However with sprouts and most living food there are some enzymes, but remember if the plant has enzymes, we wouldn’t have anything to eat, right? Because enzymes are made to break down foods into nutrients, eg, protease breaks protein down into amino acids then the body can use the amino acids, so the idea is that our body should have the enzymes in the saliva, pancreas, intestine, HCL in the stomach and so on. We have much more of a chance to make enzymes if we eat living food, and not all cooked food is dead eg, some vegetables need to be lightly steamed to get the goodness out, like cooked carrots have much more beta carotene than raw, cooked tomatoes have the licopene, cooked cabbage gets rid of the goitogens so that it doesn’t affect your thyroid, but remember we are talking about home grown food with super minerals (ormus) go to my website and read about ormus. I soak my seeds, grains, nut or whatever food I can with ormus, that will put in some of the missing minerals. It is always best to get organic seeds to sprout but do your bes, make sure you do get some ormus as minerals are the spark of life, without minerals, nothing works. Sprouting is really simple, you can get sprouting kits or just use what you got in the kitchen a glass jar or I use a strainer or colander. I soak first in ormus for a few hours, then drain off water just wet a few times a day to keep moist and depending what you are sprouting they will begin to sprout in 2-3 days, then put in container in fridge, don’t store for more than a week and same reason it is best not to buy sprouts because of the mould that can grow in them after a week or so. What can I sprout??? I like to experiment, try a few different things. My favourites are—chick peas, lentils, mungbeans, sunflower seeds you can also do radish seeds, broccoli, fenugreek, snow peas, beans, alfalfa, don’t be afraid to try different sprouts, it is fun. Remember soaking in ormus is highly beneficial for helping protect your DNA and also you can soak your bean, rice or whatever food in ormus before cooking and if you are growing your veggies, it is a must for the soil, these are activated minerals that were in the soil over 4000 yrs ago, when there were giants in the earth according to Biblical history.
