things from around the room. Students
wearing the color that is being practiced
can be in “Charge” of making sure they
remember that color name.
Students do “Stand up sit down” game
based on who is wearing a given color.
“Whoever is wearing kirmizi stand up! OK,
now sit down!”
I Spy: Teacher asks if anyone knows how
to play I Spy. ONE student can start and
model the game. Then each student gets a
turn to be the “I spy” leader using colors
in Turkish. They can use Evet and Hayir
when the other students ask them “Is it
this book?” “Is it the table?” etc.
If there is time after all students lead, the
teacher can also introduce a new color to
the game (pembe, mor or turuncu, maybe
based on what the kids are wearing?).
Activity 5: Charades

EVERYONE:
 Explain the rules for charades – Teams will
pick a leader each round and that leader

one student knows it they can lead the
others in producing it).

rounds).

 – They must be accurate!!!, the teachers
can repeat the numbers / help students
count to that number individually if the
students need more help.
