Spring 2017 Native Plant Sales
The Northern Virginia Soil & Water Conservation District tree and shrub seedling sale. Orders

March 25th -Lahr Symposium at the U.S. National Arboretum. Plant sale from 9:30am to
2pm. If you sign up for the Symposium on native plants you get to attend the early bird sale

April 1st - Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy will host a native plant sale along with other
activities at Morven Park, in Leesburg, from 9am to 3pm.

April 5th - Our local branch of the Native Plant Society (Potowmack chapter) begins their
monthly sale the 1st Wednesday of the month through October. From 10am to 1pm. Location is
behind the visitor's center in the outdoor propagation area of Green Spring Gardens.
April 21st & 22nd - Visit the headquarters of the American Horticultural Society in Alexandria
for their Spring Garden Market. From 10am to 5pm. Native plant vendors will be represented

April 29th - Long Branch Nature Center in Arlington is offering a pre-order of native plants
before their plant sale on April 30th from 1 to 4pm. Check out page 8 of the SNAG magazine for

April 29th - Northern Alexandria native plant sale (formally Park Fairfax)is holding their
fabulous native plant sale from 9am to 2pm at The Church of St. Clements.

May 7st - Earth Sangha open house and plant sale, from 10am to 2pm. Earth Sangha's wild
plant nursery sells local ecotypes with the majority being hand-collected and grown from seed.

May 13th & 14th - Garden Days at Blandy State Arboretum in Boyce, VA from 9am to 4:30pm.

May 20th - Spring Garden Day at Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria from 9am to 3pm.
