Special Instructions:
NOTE: COMPOST MUST BE PROVIDED BY EACH SITE
1. Check for materials. (see above)
2. Download icons from website and print one of each
3. Prepare ice and water in plastic cups for Task #1 just
before starting to allow for condensation to form on
the cups. Prepare two cups with sand per group of
two or three. Label #1 sample and #2 Sample.
Prepare paper bowls of compost and place a plastic
spoon in each. Prepare bowls with spinner materials
(two red, two yellow, and two sticks in a bowl for each
group of 2 or 3). Check pictures for Task #3 making
sure there are three to four pictures clipped together
for K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.
4. Print or check for handouts H1, H2 and H3.

6. Check envelop for “Picture File” Pictures are printed
for 12-16 K-2 participants, 12-16 3-5 participants, 2432 6-8 participants, 24-36 9-12 participants (groups
size of 3 to 4) IF MORE PICTURES ARE NEEDED
