My name is Taras. I’m eleven years old.
I live in Ukraine in a small town Fastiv. It is situated not far from Kyiv.
I’d like to tell you about my family. My family is not very large. I’ve got a mother, a
father, a sister and a grandmother. So, there are five of us in the family.
My mother is a doctor. Her name is Anna. She is good-looking and slim. She’s always
very busy.
My father is a manager in a big supermarket. His name is Victor. He’s tall and sporty.
He loves animals very much. We spend a lot of time together.
My sister Masha is only five. She doesn’t go to school yet. She likes drawing and
dancing very much.
My granny is the heart of our family. She is a very kind and loving person. She takes
care of all our family.

Today is my birthday. I have invited my friends to my party at 4 o’clock.
When my guests came, they brought me some presents: a box of sweets, a book, a
computer disc with games and some toys. My parents gave me a puppy as a present. I
was very happy because I like dogs very much! My puppy is so funny!
My friends wished me to be healthy, wealthy, happy and lucky. I thanked them and
they sang me the famous song Happy birthday to you in English. It was very pleasant
for me.
After that my guests and my parents sat at the table. There were a lot of tasty dishes!
Mom baked a tasty birthday cake for me. There were eleven candles in it, because I
was eleven that day. Then we listened to music, danced, sang songs, and played hideand-seek.
We had a good time together. I was very happy.

and I can play tennis well. Most of all I like skating. I like baking cakes too.
