Stallion Service Contract
Aileron Stables-Round Robin
This contract made by and between Ruth Hanselpacker of Aileron Stables (“Stallion
Owner”) and ___________________________ (“Mare Owner”) on the ____day of
_________, 20__ do hereby contract as follows. Mare owner reserves a breeding to the
2006 Registered Hanoverian Stallion Round Robin (Rotspon/Don Gregory/Brentano II),
Registration number 431319826606 for the 2010 breeding season (March 15th – August
15th).

Mare owner agrees to pay Stallion Owner the following fees:
Introductory Breeding Fee: $750.00 + $250 for collection, shipping and a container.
a) A non-refundable Booking fee of $250.00 is due at signing of this contract. This fee is
deductible from the Breeding Fee. And will be due prior to each additional breeding
season that the live foal guarantee has not been fulfilled for a total of three seasons.
b) A *refundable Stallion Service Fee of $500.00 is due prior to the shipment of semen
(only paid once).
*refundable: only applicable if the following criteria are met.
i) Stallion dies or becomes unfit for service prior to servicing the mare.

ii) Mare dies or becomes unfit for service prior to servicing. (Requires a note stating such
from a veterinarian)
iii) Mare does not produce a live foal after three seasons.
Collection fees: 150$ cdn/per collection (taken out of the 250$ deposit) which is paid to
Montague Veterinary Clinic. The Mare Owner is responsible for the shipping expense
(which is taken out of the 250$ deposit) and for providing an accurate address. Any
money left over from the deposit will be returned at the end of the breeding season.
The semen is only to be used on ONE mare unless otherwise agreed upon. The Mare
Owner may not substitute another mare for breeding without prior written consent of the
Stallion Owner.
If there is a great demand for a certain day, breeding priority will be given to the earliest
booked mares.
Mares will be artificially inseminated by a Veterinarian or qualified technician.
The Mare Owner shall assume all responsibility for the condition of the mare and shall
bare all risk of loss or damage to the mare whether by death, disease, injury, infection or
otherwise, and by any cause whatsoever, and therefore holds harmless the Stallion Owner
or farm personnel for any and all damages associated there within.
Diligent effort will be made to settle the mare, however, if the mare does not settle, the
Stallion Owner will not be held liable for any losses suffered by the Mare Owner.
Mare Owner will provide a photo of the mare (with the contract) and a photo of the foal
to the Stallion Owner at some point prior to the foal’s first year.
Fees and services are subject to GST.
Endorsement of this agreement by both parties represents a binding contract, subject to
all the above terms and conditions.
