Job Title: Community Engagement Manager Reports to: Development Director Job Function: Represents the foodbank in all constituency levels, engaging people in the fight against hunger through their places of employment, houses of worship, schools and other community events; face to face and in a variety of media. JOB DUTIES: Volunteer Engagement Works with Operations Manager to prioritize volunteer projects and suitable number of volunteers needed to accomplish tasks. Participates in Volunteer and/or Agency Fairs. Utilizes volunteer matching websites, reviewing consistently and maintaining current information. Maintains and builds the Volunteer Address Book for regular electronic communications. Utilizes Shared Harvest’s social media to recruit volunteers, post pictures and activities. Utilizes the Volunteer Calendar to schedule volunteer groups. Orients all volunteer and community service workers for assembly, sorting and packaging projects. Maintains all related files and completes month end reports. SPECIAL PROJECTS: Manages Fill That Bus and Stamp Out Hunger food drives. Manages Holiday food drives including recruiting companies, churches, implementing barrel deliveries and pickups, tracking donations, sending thank you notes. Manages special events, currently the Panerathon, Zombie Walk/Run, Community Food Relief And Check Out Hunger, attending organizing meetings, recruiting volunteers as needed. Organizing Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event. Conducts tours of the foodbank and does speaking engagements as requested. Assisting with annual member agency conference. Other Duties as may be assigned. SKILLS: Excellent ability to communicate well both in spoken and written word. Well organized, ability to plan and react quickly to changing needs. Technology skills include MS Office and social media and math skills required. Experience in volunteer management preferred. Driver’s license, dependable transportation and clean driving record required. PAY RANGE: $31,000 to $33,000 BENEFITS: Employer paid health Insurance, retirement, long term disability, life insurance & ADD; flexible work schedule of 40 hours weekly, paid holidays, vacation & PTO.
