Community Transport Forum Wednesday 14th June 2017 @ The Lakefront Banquet Room Lakes Resort Hotel West Lakes For further information about the forum, please contact Karyn Baker: Phone: 0404 606 134 Email: [email protected] You are invited to attend the third Annual Community Transport Forum, to be held at the Lakes Resort Hotel on Wednesday 14th June 2017, hosted by the South Australian Community Transport Association (sacta). sacta is the peak body representing Community Transport in SA & NT, and is also a member of the Australian Community Transport Association. Membership is open to anyone working in the field of, or with an interest in, Community Transport: we currently have over 50 members from SA and NT, representing a wide range of community organisations and services. Our belief is that “Community Transport builds, connects and underpins communities” and we are here to support our members in many ways. The objects of the South Australian Community Transport Association are: 1. To represent community transport providers within the State of South Australia and the Northern Territory and to advocate and/or make representations on behalf of its members to the Government Sector, NonGovernment Sector, Private Sector and all other relevant organisations and/or persons. 2. To facilitate information sharing and improve communication between community transport organisations and services within South Australia and Northern Territory. 3. To develop policy, procedure and standards that promote best practice in community transport. 4. To represent its membership on the board of ACTA (Australian Community Transport Association) and/or international forums related to these objects. 5. To expand membership into the Northern Territory and to develop relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate this aim. The theme for this year’s forum is ‘The State of the Sector’ which we believe to be very relevant given the many changes happening at both the State and Federal levels. We have invited relevant State & Shadow Ministers to attend the forum, and to present an overview of their government’s policy agenda for the community transport sector in SA, leading into the 2018 State Election, with consideration to the effects on community transport with the national NDIS and CHSP reform agendas. The forum will also provide you with an opportunity to: attend a Statewide (SA &NT) forum with a clear, specific focus on Community Transport build links and extend your networks with key industry people learn about new industry initiatives by visiting our Sponsors trading tables Please complete and return the attached registration form (page 5) to register your attendance.
