“What has been the electronic transaction fees collected by electronic
parking meters in each financial year since 2008.” Pay and Display machines were first introduced to on street parking in approximately 2009. We only
started distinguishing between revenue received from pay and display machines and parking metres
during the 2011/12 financial year, and therefore, we can only provide information relating to on
street pay and display machines from 2011/12 onwards. Pay and display machines have been in place
in our off street parking facilities for at least the past 8 years.
We do not collect information on the method of payment used with pay and display machines and
therefore cannot distinguish between electronic transactions and cash transactions.
The table below provides the total revenue received by pay and display machines via all payment
mechanisms, where this information is available.
