Lots of exciting things to come for our Spring season! We wanted to be sure to keep you in the loop!
FACILITY UPGRADES
As many of you know, we’re having stadium style seating installed during our break between seasons.
We’re so excited to see how they look! Very grateful to Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority and The
Thunderbirds for helping make this project possible!
SPRING SEASON
Opening Day is Saturday March 19th! Registrations
carry over from last season, so you should be all set if
there are no changes. The only major difference is that
Saturday games start an hour earlier to accommodate
the warmer temperature once again. A team
assignment/reminder e-mail to be sent out prior to the
season’s start. Check the season’s schedule below

SPRING TRAINING EVENT FOR OPENING DAY
2:00-3:15pm – Hosted by Redline Athletics. Geared
primarily towards our competitive league players,
but all athletes are welcome to stay or come back
to check it out! It will include a warm up, some
baseball specific drills, and a fun game at the end.
COIN DRIVE
Each Spring Season the Miracle League of Arizona
participates in a coin drive. Headed by MLAZ’s
Teen Ambassador Group, we encourage players,
families and supporters alike to collect and bring
your spare change to the ballpark for the duration
of the season. MLAZ Teams will be competing
against each other to collect the most coins and
earn them a Party for the end of the season.




On April 30th MidFirst Bank will be bringing a coin truck to the
stadium to collect our coins and see which team has brought in
the most.
MidFirst Bank will also will be matching our funds collected, up
to $1,000!
Last year we collected about $1,400 in coins. This year, if we
can break $2,000, MidFirst will donate another $250 to the
program!
That means bring your pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters,
and encourage your friends to do the same. Everyone can
contribute, and every cent helps!
BASEBALL CARD-PHOTO DAYS –Sat 2 through Sat Apr 9
We’re very fortunate to be able to offer baseball cards to our families once again! Photos to be taken during the
upcoming Season. Please see the below schedule to check for details and when your athlete can have his/her picture
taken for these.
*PLEASE NOTE*

Players need to come BEFORE their games to have photos taken

If you miss on your regular scheduled game day, please plan on coming during another scheduled photo day for a re-take

If you absolutely CANNOT make any of these scheduled photo days, please send a photo you wish to be used to Cassandra Switalski
at [email protected]. There will be no additional make-up sessions scheduled.

There will be TWO Saturday sessions this year, so please be sure to plan your week accordingly to make sure your athlete gets their photo
taken for baseball cards to be made

These cards will be donated and cost you nothing, but there will not be an opportunity to order more, so share them wisely;)
o Also please keep in mind that photos will be taken by Volunteers and we appreciate your help and patience in achieving the
‘best shot’ for each athlete.

Photos will be taken along the outer wall of the ballpark, and will be identified with a sign.
o Please first sign in for your game, so we are ready once the game starts, and then proceed to the photo area.

Coaches, Volunteers and parents, we will appreciate a little extra flexibility on this day, as we may run a little behind schedule.

EASTER EGG HUNT –SAT MARCH 26th
A local Girl Scout Troop will be
putting on an Easter Egg Hunt
for our families once again.
10:00am-12:00pm.
This time it will be located in
the fields past the ballpark,
near the MLAZ and NOAH
office building. So stop by
before or after your games for
fun easter games and some
egg hunting. Siblings and friend
welcome to join!
DUTCH BROS COFFEE DAY FOR MLAZ –ALSO SAT MARCH 26th
On that same day, Dutch Bros Coffee will be supporting the Miracle League of Arizona
by donating 50cents for every coffee purchased that day! Some Dutch Bros staff will
also be volunteering at our games that day. So be sure to stop at Dutch Bros before or
after your game, and pass the word on to your friends and family. It’s an easy way to
give a little to MLAZ, while getting your daily caffeine fix;)
MLAZ OPEN HOUSE-SAT APRIL 2nd
Saturday April 2nd will be an open house for the
Miracle League of Arizona. Throughout the
course of the regularly scheduled game day, we
are inviting sponsors, local community
partners, and new and interested participants
and connections out to check out the facility
and see our games in action. It’s a great way to
show off our wonderful facility, with our brand
new field and seating, as well as the chance to
thank our donors and sponsors that help make
this program possible!
So be sure to bring your smiles and be ready to
share your stories on April 2nd!
