HAPPY
MOTHER’S
DAY:
Each year the Worship
Committee likes to honor women in some way
by choosing a deserving non-profit organization
to whom to give a gift of money to support their
efforts. Again, this year’s choice is, “Reaching
Up
and Reaching Out” is a Mercer County ministry
supporting those on the journey from jail to a new life in
Christ. Last year a house was purchased with funds raised
through fundraisers and gifts received. Those living in
Manna House have the opportunity to develop employment
skills as they work through their life recovery. The project
will have ongoing financial support from the proceeds of a
new thrift shop that opened in Mercer next to Walt’s called
Twice Blessed. Please check out Twice Blessed as a source
for gently-used fashions and furniture. The store is operated
totally by volunteers, and would welcome your time should
you wish to volunteer some extra time you may have.

Joining Mercer County together “LET THE HEALING BEGIN”
A very special thank you to
EVERY-ONE who
participated in even the
smallest way to help make
our spring dinner theater
production “Murder’s in the Heir” a success. It was a fun filled
night of murder mystery comedy here at Leesburg. The cast &
crew put in a lot of time and dedication and we appreciate them.
Also, to Jon Stewart, Dotty Lewis, Maryann Collins & Kathy
Schepp for all their time and commitment, without these 4 the
dinner theater would not be as successful as it is. They keep
things running on stage and in the fellowship hall/kitchen for the
delicious meal!! Special THANKS to Nick at National Armory
Gun Store in Harrisville for loaning the blank gun used in the
play.
Congratulations to Josh & Amanda
on the baptism of their son Carter
James Schepp who was baptized on
Sunday, April 30th.
