Stacy Sykora Defense and Serve Receive Clinic Three time Olympic libero Stacy Sykora is coming to Phoenix for one day only, February 5, 2017. Only 36 spots are available for each clinic and they are on a first come, first serve basis. Cost is $75 for Region Members, $100 for Non Region Members. Clinic I- 8 :30a to Noon at Mesa Community College (1833 W. Southern Ave.) Check in at 8a Clinic II- 1:30p to 5p at Atkinson Pavilions (4315 N. Maryvale Parkway) Check in at 1p. Stacy Sykora is a two-time All American outside hitter from Texas A & M. Stacy played on the U.S. Women’s National Team for 15 years. At the 2010 World Championships, she was awarded best libero and best digger and was named USA Volleyball Player of the Year in 2010. Stacy competed in the 2000 Olympics where she was awarded best passer, the 2004 Olympics where she earned best digger, and the 2008 Olympics where she won a silver medal with Team USA. She has been coaching with USA Volleyball High Performance National Team Programs since 2014. Joining Stacy is Denise Sheldon who has managed girls’ High Performance National Team Programs for USA Volleyball since 2011 and has coached with USAV since 2008. In her many stints in team management for USAV in international events, she served as Head of Delegation for the U.S. Women’s National Team, earning a gold medal at the 2014 FIVB World Championship and a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics.
