ANOTHER CHANGE FOR GOOD
Over the last few months we have been implementing a major change to our contracting business which will
ensure our place in the market for years to come. We have combined the contracting businesses of Pye Group
and Caird Beet Harvesting to form a new company Central Feeds Ltd owned by Leighton and Michelle Pye
together with Ken and Cushla Caird. For the next year at least we will continue to trade as Pye Group with the
same people, same service, same gear (with a bit of new stuff) and the same contact details.
So it will be business as usual except that we have had to change our bank account again (sorry). The new
bank account details are: Central Feeds Ltd, 02-0888-0110578-00. These details appear on the bottom of our
invoices. All amounts owing as at 30th September will still be payable to Pye Group so please check our
invoices carefully to ensure you are paying to the correct account. We appreciate your help with this.
FREE BALE WRAP PICK UP
We are now offering a free pickup of bale wrap to be recycled, provided it is balewrap we have supplied we will come to your farm and pick
it up at no charge. The bale wrap must be clean and be in Plasback bags with the tops tied off.
SAME TEAM - NEW SERVICES
FODDER BEET
We are pleased to be offering the complete fodder beet planting and
harvesting package. As well as being an excellent winter feed grazed in
the paddock we have had excellent response from customers feeding it
as a supplement feed in the Autumn and the Spring.
Harvested fodder beet is a very cheap form of energy with virtually zero
wastage and is also easy to feed with some farmers feeding it out a
week in advance.
This year operating a new 12 row Kverneland fodder beet planter, planting at the preferred 45cm row spacings, GPS auto steered and
individual auto row shut off this planter is well equipped to insure a quality planting job.
The Vervaet Beet harvester that Ken has been operating around south and mid Canterbury has been providing excellent results and getting a
very positive response from customers. This large capacity self-propelled harvester picks up six rows of fodder beet at either 45 or 50cm row
spacing's. It holds 15 ton of fodder beet on board meaning while the trailer is away tipping off the harvester can carry on harvesting.
We have a tractor and trailer for on farm carts or we can arrange trucks and trailers for long distance.
STANDING GRASS OR LUCERNE REQUIRED
We have contracts available for harvested fodder beet to be delivered to your farm in the Autumn.
Don’t forget the straw season is just around the corner so get in early and speak to Andy to get your straw order secured.
Last season we sent letters to all clients stating all feed sales are suitable for lactating dairy cows. This was suitable to meet your dairy company
requirements for the season. If you missed out on one of these or would like a another copy please email [email protected]
We would like thank our customers for their continued support, we remain committed to delivering the best possible product and excellent service.
