Appointments
Now we have an additional clinician in the team we have modified
the service we provide to help you access our clinical staff when
you need them. Our revised appointment system offers:

Pre bookable face to face appointments with a clinician of your choice including evening
surgeries - booked in person, on the phone or on-line up to 6 weeks in advance.

Pre bookable telephone appointments with a clinician of your choice, including evening
appointments - booked in person, on the phone or on-line up to 6 weeks in advance.

A greater number of on the day appointments. These are released daily at 8:30 and are
intended to be used by people who have a problem that needs to be seen on the day.

A Duty Doctor who, in addition to his/her routine surgery will deal with any medically urgent
problems if all the on the day appointments have been taken.
If your condition is not medically urgent you will be asked to call back the following day.

All children under 16 will be seen on the day if they are suddenly unwell – this often involves the
Doctors seeing these patients as extras at the end of their routine surgeries

Weekend appointments are available with GP's Practice Nurses & Healthcare Assistants in
Stockport. Just call us on our usual number and ask to make a booking.
Annual Reviews for patients with Long Term Conditions
We have revised our recall process for patients who have Long Term Conditions. These conditions include
Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Stroke, CHD and High Blood Pressure.
In an attempt to make it easier for us to recall you, and for you to remember you are due a review, your annual
review will now be completed in your birth month.
You will receive a letter from us reminding you that your review is due and asking you to make an appointment.
If you do not receive a letter, or if you feel you need a review ahead of your birth month please
contact us to make an appointment in the usual manner.
Note – The nurse or Doctor may advise you to attend a follow up appointment ahead of your
annual recall – it is your responsibility to make this appointment
