Standard Paint and Flooring Makes its Move to Yakima Avenue! FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Heidi Burmeister – Marketing and Promotions [email protected] 509-972-7620 www.standardpaintandflooring.com Yakima, WA, October 2015 — Standard Paint and Flooring has a long, rich history of being “the place” to shop for premium paint and flooring solutions in Yakima since 1954. Now, 61 years later they are moving from the location on 3rd Avenue where they have done business for over 40 years, to a grand showroom right on Yakima Avenue that was the home of Schultz Furniture for generations. “The time came for us to move to a larger and more visible space” said Regan Myers, 3rd generation owner of Standard Paint and Flooring with Dick Jr. and his brother Craig. “We liked the Schultz Furniture reputation and location and though it would be a good fit for us”. Nine months ago the downtown Standard Paint and Flooring team of designers and sales staff packed up and moved temporarily to the company’s West Valley store. The time has finally come to unpack those boxes and move into their new showroom on 409 West Yakima Avenue. The new location is nearly double the space that their previous store offered, going from 16,500sq ft. to nearly 30,000! The team has been working tirelessly over the last several weeks to get the new paint department set-up and open for business. As of Monday, September 21st, the paint department is open and serving its paint customers at its regular downtown hours, Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm and Saturdays 8:00am to 2:00pm. Finishing touches are still being put in place to make the new grand showroom shine. It will feature tile, wood and carpet flooring displays, cabinetry, lighting and custom window treatments. The showroom will be ready to “Wow” Yakima residents when they open the doors to the public with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 27th at 4:00pm. A dedication and light refreshments will be served to all who wish to attend. Standard Paint and Flooring has been in operation since 1954 when Dick Sr. first opened its doors in Yakima as a paint store. They now offer far more than paint and have become the “One-Stop, Local Home Renovation Store” in 5 cities throughout Eastern WA, including downtown Yakima, West Valley, Wenatchee, Sunnyside and Kennewick. They also have a store in Bend, Oregon. ###
