As of today, you are the assistant producer of the well-known record label: Capitol records. Your boss has asked your team to put together a compilation album on the following topics: Love, Protest or Life. He has chosen a list of songs and is asking each member to closely analyze each song in order to make sure that the song portrays an appropriate theme and that it should really be on the chosen album. In order to complete this task, you will need to: Choose a song from the list, you will each have a song from either Love, Protest or Life o Only one student per song, we will pick names : first name gets first choice and so on o You can submit a song of your choice to your teacher for approval Analyze the song using the TP-CASTT method studied in class: o o Take notes using the strategies studied in class (annotate, post-its) Organize your ideas using an organizational structure (4 squares) Find and explain the theme, which is the message transmitted throughout the song Find a minimum of two literary devices (personification, foreshadowing, flashback, metaphor, simile, dialogue, suspense or stereotypes) and explain how and why they are used in the song Write a one paragraph response to literature explaining why the song should be included in the compilation album.
