Coleshill Leisure Centre Partex Squash League Rules Playing Games Squash Leagues Competition, and game play for everyone Coleshill Leisure Centre offers the largest selection of squash leagues in the area, from the hotly contested premier leagues through to the friendly game play of the all ability divisions. Our leagues cater for all squash players interested in getting a little extra from their games. The benefits of league play include: Whitbread Vouchers for winners and runners up of each division Guaranteed regular competition The opportunity to play new people Improve game play skills The challenge of match play Priority entry to all tournaments Club play The leagues start on a Monday, will run for 6 weeks and will be taken down on the Sunday night. The new league will be formed and put back up on the Monday. The league may be extended for court or holiday closures Any player who does not play a single match will be removed from the leagues and will have to reapply to re-join, unless they have specified that they wish to rejoin the next leagues or have been injured by marking it on their league If a player offers an opponent a choice of three possible court times in which to play a match and they are not acceptable to the opponent, the emphasis is on the opponent to reciprocate with a similar offer. If they are unable to agree a suitable time each player will receive 2 points. However if one of the players has made no effort to arrange a match then the scoring shall be 4-0 in the opponent’s favour. All matches must be played at CLC and scores to be recorded straight after matches League Positions The top 2 players will advance by one division / the 3rd & 4th placed players will stay in the same league / the 5th & 6th players will be relegated by one division If there is a tie for 1st place then the results between the respective players will decide the position. If this game was a tie then the person who has won the most games will be declared the winner. If this is equal then the division shall be declared a dead heat and the prizes will be distributed according to the rules below. If there is a tie for 2nd and 3rd position using the above criteria the player holding the higher position in the league just completed would be promoted. This applies for the relegation places. The winner of each match will receive 5 points The loser of each match will receive 1 point for each game won If players do not finish the match in the allotted time they should rearrange another time to finish the match (uncompleted games to be restarted from scratch) At the end of the league period your total score is multiplied by the number of games played. Games that are claimed as a walkover would not count as a game played Injuries & Illness If a player suffers illness or injury during a league season having already played at least one game the results of the game (s) the player has played will be invalid and no scores will be made for or against this player during the league period Prizes Partex Marking systems will give Whitbread Vouchers with a value of £15.00 to the winner of each division with a £5.00 voucher going to the runner-up. If there is a tie for 1st place and the tiebreak formula cannot be used then each player will receive a £10.00 voucher. If there is a triple tie each player will receive a £10.00 voucher. To qualify for the above vouchers the following amount of games must be played unless injuries to more than one opponent prevent this from being possible. 6 players in each division 4 games played / 5 players in each division 3 games played / 3 players in each division 2 games played.
