Standard 2- Participation and Inclusion Aim Bathurst Early Childhood Intervention Service will encourage and support each child with a disability/ developmental delay and their family to contribute to social and civic life in their communities in the way they choose. Engagement and meaningful inclusion are fundamental to being active members of all aspects of community life. BECIS recognises that it has a shared responsibility to ensure support required to enable participation in an ordinary and meaningful way is provided and that a genuine connection and active inclusion is promoted. The BECIS workforce will work towards assisting children and their families to be included by participating in community activities that are meaningful to them. BECIS staff will work with other service providers and the broader community to increase the options and opportunities for children with a disability/ developmental delay and their family.
