receive a free book at the Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Celebration. Just fill out the
book log and bring it to the entrance table.

Birthday Celebration
On March 5, Child, Youth and School Services is hosting Dr. Seuss’s Birthday
Celebration at the Solomon Center. One of the many activities at the fair
will be an “Original Poetry and Stories Corner”. Children and youth who would
like to participate in this event should submit a copy of an original poem or
story on a topic of their own choosing to the School Liaison Office. Awards
for participation will be given for each submission, plus the best story or
poem from each age group will be awarded a Kindle e-Reader. 2nd place
winners will receive a gift card.
Age Groups:
7-10 years
11-13 Years
14-18 years
The poet’s or author's name, phone
number, and age will need to be on
each submission. Submissions must
be turned in to the School Liaison
Office at the Joe E. Mann building,
3392 Magruder Avenue, no later than
5:00 pm on Friday, February 26, 2016.
