ADALBERT PARISH NEWS Hello everybody, These past few weeks have been quite a blur. How blessed have we been to be busy during this holy season of Lent. From fish fries, meetings, and penance services there has been so much activity! It seems that there is always something more to do. Even though we may have adjusted our clocks by an hour, we still do not have a 25hour day! Sometimes with all the busyness, a little time away from all the hubbub can look tempting. After all, who hasn’t looked at the spring break our kids get and ask ourselves when do we get ours? This Sunday we meet a Samaritan woman who simply wants to get away from people. She chooses to draw water from the well at noon. Everybody knows you draw water at the morning and evening, when it is cool. You don’t lug heavy pots of water under the noonday sun. This woman did not want to be bothered, so what did Jesus do? He bothered her! Through their conversation, they come to know one another and He reaches out to her to give her something she cannot imagine; life giving water. This gift is so powerful that when she leaves, she leaves her jar of water. That which she came to get she forgets because Christ invited her to receive His love. Christ is trying to bother you this Lent. Are you opening your heart to His voice, or is there something getting in the way of his love? May God bless you always, Fr. Hennes Imagine the Priesthood Praying for our Seminarians We encourage you to pray for the seminarians as a way of showing your support.
