Basis
CALL
1. The Philharmonic Orchestra de la Mancha is organising The International Contest
of Musical Interpretation III “OFMAN” (Specialization wind instruments).
2. This contest is conducted for the following instruments interpreters: Flute, Oboe,
Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxo, French horn, Trumpet, Trombone and Tuba from any
age and nacionality.
REGISTRATION
1. All participants who want to enroll for the contestant will find the registration
process open to midnight of October 20th.
2. You must complete the registration form which can be downloaded by clicking
here. Enrollment in the first stage is free.
3. With the registration form, you must send a video link (in any format, even if the
size exceed 50 MB must be compressed); the lasting will be no longer than 5
minutes, containing the interpretation by the applicant of any movement or fragment
of the obligatory work.
4. The email address to send the registration and video is [email protected],
unless it is done from the website.
5. The commission of the contest will immediately answer to each participant by email, confirming or rejecting the participant likewise, whether or not any plausible
remedied default should be corrected.
6. The winners of previous editions can´t register.

Development of the contest
The contest will be divided into three different phases: First Phase, Semifinal and Final
(with orchestra), all of them open to the public.
First Phase:

In this first phase, the jury made the viewing of videos submitted by applicants
together with the registration form.
There is no limit of contestants for this phase.
The maximum number of selected competitors will be eighteen people.
The publication of the selected contestants joined by the sequence of the Semifinal.

Wednesday, 27th October.
Semifinal:

This state will be happening the 4th November.
No more than 18 competitors will be selected for this second phase.
On Wednesday, 27th October, contestants can check the time for action at this
stage of the competition on the website of the Philharmonic Orchestra of La
Mancha: www.ofman.es.
To participate in this test, contestants must make a deposit of 40 € in concept of
“Cuota de participación en la Semifinal del Concurso OFMAN”.
The payment will be made through bank deposit.

The bank receipt must be sent by mail to email [email protected] before 3rd
November. In the case of not paying this fee, the organization shall proceed to the
drop in the semifinal the contestant in question.
Before the start of this test, contestants will identify showing their identity card or
passport.
In this phase, the contestants performed the work required to complete. The length
will be determined by the duration of the score to play.
The publication of the selected contestants joined by the sequence of the Semifinal.
performance will be on the official web site: www.ofman.es, beginning on
Wednesday, 4th October, after 22.00.
No more than three contenders will succeeded this phase.
In the Semifinal, the organization will provide contestants an accompanying pianist,
and its work is to accompany them during the performance of this test.

Final phase (accompanied with orchestra):

This phase will take place the afternoon of the 5th November, Saturday, at 16.00.
No more than three competitors will be selected for the last phase.
On Friday, 4th November from 22.00, the selected contestants will see the order of
performance in the final of the competition on the website of the Philharmonic
Orchestra of La Mancha: www.ofman.es.
This step will be divided into two parts. In the first stage, the contestants will
rehearse the mandatory musical piece and in the second phase, they will interpret
it, accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra of La Mancha and its director Mr.
Francisco Antonio Moya.
The length will be one hour and 10 minutes for each finalist.
The result of the Final will be communicated in situ and published on the website of
the Philharmonic Orchestra of La Mancha the same Saturday, 5th November.
Venue of the contest
This contest will be taking place at the rehearsal venue of the Philharmonic
Orchestra de la Mancha, next to the hall Residencia Universitaria Don Quijote’s. Juan
Ramón Jimenez st, 2. Ciudad Real. The Final will be held in the Auditorium of the Antiguo
Casino of Ciudad Real, Caballeros st. 3, Ciudad Real.

Interpretation as the Soloist of the mandatory musical piece that will take place at
the Teatro Municipal Quijano de Ciudad Real on 12th November 2016.
Diploma of merit as the winner of “International Contest of Music Interpretation III
OFMAN” (wind instruments).
SECOND PRIZE “Globalcaja Prize”

Diploma of merit as the second prize of the “International Contest of Music
Interpretation III OFMAN” (wind instruments).
