Man – From Predator to Protector
Our themes for this academic session is, Man – From Predator to Protector. Man, has
greatly evolved over the years in many ways. Man, has evolved from wild to civilized,
man has not just conquered this planet but has left his mark on the moon too. Though
man has begun his journey as a predator, he has now turned into a protector. Man has
responded to his timely needs. Then in the past, man for his survival used to hunt
animals and now realizing the fact that every species is necessary to keep the balance,
man has become the protector. The biological name for "human" or "man" is Homo.
The modern human species is called Homo sapiens. "Sapiens" means "thought". Homo
sapiens means "the thinking man". Perhaps this thinking ability of we humans
distinguishes us from the other beings and makes us the supreme creation. The journey
of man from predator to protector is truly inspiring for the coming generations and will
keep motivating us to contribute our bit and add to its glory.
