Oskar Blues Brewery, Ten fidy 8 Russian Imperial Stout, Colorado, 10.5% abv, snifter This titanic, immensely viscous stout is loaded with inimitable flavors of chocolate-covered caramel and coffee 9 Bourbon / Turbinado Sugar / Angostura Bitters / Orange peel Give me that old fashioned whiskey. It was good enough for my grandpa, it’s good enough for me. Hemingway Gin & Tonic 9 Dry Gin / Q Tonic /Fresh Lime / Angostura Bitters Hemingway had diabetes so he took his daiquiris with less sugar. Following that pattern, this G&T uses dry gin, dry tonic, and bitters, just like he liked it. White & Rosè Wine GL/ QT/ BT Ugni Blanc, Domaine Guillaman, Cotes de Gascogne, France, 2014 6 / 8 / 20 Grapes from this area are more commonly used for Armagnac, but luckily for you, they also make great wine. Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur lie Vielles Vignes Chateau de la Ragotiere , Loire, France, 2014 10 / 14 / 37 Lean, tight and rocky are the best descriptors. Complex and mineral which match up nicely with Sea Food. Cognac French 75 Wheat, Houston, 5.3%abv, Pint This local wheat beer features coriander and citrus peel that make it easy to drink. 11 Cognac / Fresh Lemon/ Champagne A truly “French” French 75. Served tall, over ice. Legend has it that the French 75 was named for a 75mm cannon. Sauvignon Blanc, Jean-Francois Merieau, “L’Arpent des Vaudons”, Touraine, France, 2013 11 / 14 / 37 We think this area grows the best Sauvignon Blanc on Earth. Grapefruit and fresh herbs, ideal for summer. 6. Hops and Grains The one they call Zoe 7 Might as Well 11 Riesling, Schloss Schönborn, Estate Dry, Rheingau, Germany, 2013 11 / 14 / 38 This wine is dry, not sweet, and comes from an estate that has been family owned for 670 years! Pale lager, Texas, 5.2% abv, Pint Brewed in a mildly traditional manner, it’s very similar to many of the German lagers of the old world but dry-hopped to add an extra layer of complexity. Dry Gin / Basil / Cucumber / Vanilla / Fresh Citrus / House Ginger Beer “Want another? Might as well..” A Down House classic, perfect for sunny day. 7. Ballast Point Brewery, Calico 7 The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club 11 White Rum/ Orange Liqueur / Velvet Falernum / Fresh Lime Official house cocktail of one of the oldest sailing clubs in the world. The Club was given the “Royal” moniker after a visit from Prince Albert, one of history’s most notorious drinkers, so you know it’s good. Amber Red Ale, California, 5.5%abv,Pint Four types of malts give it a bold complexity, and our proprietary yeast strain lends it a fruity, madeira-like richness. 8. Malbec, Ernesto Catena, “Tahuann,” Mendoza, Argentina, 2013 12 / 15 / 40 Delicious, juicy, mountain wine from some of the highest altitude vineyards in the world. Roero Nebbiolo, Matteo Correggia, Piedmont, Italy, 2011 15 / 18 / 50 Named after the nebbia (fog) in the Langhe hills, we believe this is Italy’s most exciting red grape. A boon for Pinot Noir fans. Pinot Noir, Trinity Hill, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, 2013 10/ 13/ 40 Hawkes Bay isn’t known for Pinot Noir, but given proper site selection, the wine shows soft, velvety tannins, forest-floor and earthy characters with bottle age.
