Over the next few weeks we will be looking at the story of ‘The Tiger who came to Tea’ by
Judith Kerr
Here are some of the activities we will be doing
Literacy:
Writing letters to the tiger
Writing invitations to a tiger tea party
Making posters for our tiger tea party
Using our imagination to make up our own stories about a tiger coming for tea at our house
Creating a story map
Mathematics:
Number recognition games
Saying the number that is 1 more and 1 less
Looking at patterns and stripes
Counting out the correct number of cakes, sandwiches and biscuits at our tea party
Expressive arts and design:
Making tiger masks
Face painting
Collage tigers
Exploring textures
Making up our own tiger songs
Understanding the world:
Learning about tigers
Making an information video about tigers
Physical development:
Play dough gym
Ghostbusting exercises
Making tiger puppets
Phonics:
Continuing to learn and write new speed sounds
Hearing and saying sounds in words
