Explore Cottage Grove with your easel
and paint brush or pencils. This class
works for beginners and advanced artists alike. Each week you will met at a
different location around town. Then,
from the scenes around, pick the subject of your choice. Each location is
selected to help expand and explore a
variety of subjects and skill sets. Instructor Wendy Johnson of WestCoasters Art
Studio facilitates each outing, providing short lessons at each location and
immediate individualized feedback.

Unmanned Aircraft Systems –
Drones
Explore all the aspects of owning and
operating a drone. This popular new
technology has a lot to offer, but comes
with some real responsibilities. This
class will explain the regulations with
different drones and examine a variety
of both career and personal uses. Learn
from certified FAA instructor Brandon
Wynn. Micro drones will be provided
for in class practice.

Performing Arts
Art of Mime
Mime is the foundation of all acting
and theatrical movement. Geared for
performance on stage, this course covers basic and advanced techniques of
expression and illusions. For amateur
and serious actors, class provides an
overview of the use of make-up, history
of the art and an opportunity to create
and perform original skits. A delightful, enriching experience. Requirements:

Concealed Carry Permit
Do Not Bring Gun to Class! This one
evening class is designed to satisfy all
requirements to obtain an Oregon or
Utah (valid 34 States including Washington) concealed carry permit. This
class will cover safety and responsibility of firearm ownership, where permit
is valid, interactions with law enforcement and use of deadly force. Students
receive “Oregon Concealed Carry Training Certificate” that allows them to
apply for concealed carry permit at the
Lane County Sheriff’s Office. Oregon
only - $45, Utah - $80.

Safe Driver
AARP Driver Safety covers defensive
driving techniques, rules of the road,
normal changes in vision, hearing and
reaction time – including ways to compensate for these changes. Open to all
ages and to non- AARP members. Participants age 55+ may qualify for insurance discounts. The cost is $20 with
discount to AARP members. There are
