Spelling Practice Practice writing the spelling words with colored pencils. Use one
color to spell the word, and another color to “bubble” write
around the first spelling.
 Write the words in reverse alphabetical order beginning with z.
 Spell the spelling words aloud to another person.

Grammar Focus- Predicates
 Predicate of a sentence- The predicate tells what the subject of
the sentence does or is. Example: We hiked up the mountain. The
predicate of the sentence is “hiked up the mountain” because it
tells what the subject (we) did.
