ILLINOIS DISTRICT STRIKES GOLD AGAIN!
Chicago Shuffle: Photo courtesy of Bill
Parks, Lake County Chapter website
For the second time in less than a year, the Illinois District is proudly represented
by gold medal performances in international competition as Chicago Shuffle
brings home the Seniors Quartet Gold Medal at the Mid-Winter Convention over
the weekend. By a margin of only 2 points, Chicago Shuffle followed up last year’s
Silver Medallist performance performing “I Want a Girl” and “The Song Is
Ended.” Members Howard Tweddle (L), Dave Boo (Bs), and Darryl Cremer (Br)
claim their first quartet gold, while tenor Ray Henders captures his fourth quartet
gold, three as a senior quartet champion. This is the second straight year a member
from the Illinois District has claimed Seniors gold, as Joe Liles of the Lake County
Chapter led Land O’Lakes representative Harmony to last year’s championship.

Previously, on-line users would
forward their e-mail addresses to the
editor, but frankly, the maintenance
was cumbersome and in the event the
editor would change, there was no
way to transfer those e-dresses without
retyping everyone into a new address
book.
We are now are using yahoogroups,
which is like an on-line address book.
We will be sending out a message to
all know email addresses inviting
them to join this new list.
A few guidelines: all messages which
go out to the group must first be
cleared by the VP of Marketing and
Public Relations.
Only messages
which relate to District business will
be posted to this group, so you can be
assured there will be no excess clutter
by joining this group.
District
business will only include posting
notices of this publication or urgent
business such as cancellation of
District events.
If you want to join this group, please
go to:

Any information you would like
posted in Staccato or on the web site
may still be addressed to Jeff Fordice
at [email protected].
