This club will teach skill development, spatial awareness, and
overall fitness while exploring the world of sports. Sports will
include soccer, basketball, baseball, and indoor track. Please
pack a light snack.

The GCAE Informer, our school newspaper is back! Join this

This club involves doing community service projects for both
Grace Church Community Center, Blythdale Children’s
Hospital, Maria Ferari Children’s Hospital. The projects will
include making up candy bags for low income children who
attend Grace Church, writing letters to soldiers and veterans in
the hospitals, visiting with the sisters in the convent, and making
stars for the Maria Ferari Treasure Trees.

PAPERCRAFTING
Come have fun playing with paper and create paper
masterpieces using paint, clay, yarn, glue, glitter and fabric.
Each week the children will use different types and sizes of
paper, to create projects such as dioramas, baskets and
boxes. The children will learn how to do paper molding,
paper folding and embossing, bead making, and to create
landscape scenery using paper, scissors and a little glue.

ENTREPRENEUR CLUB

Welcome to the world of doll making! Learn about different
the world.....porcelain dolls, rag dolls, primitive dolls, kokeshi
dolls, Matryoshka dolls......there are so many! In this workshop,
you will be making a cloth doll and a paper maché doll. Some
sewing skills will be acquired as well as learning how to design
some simple clothes for your dolls. So come and join in the fun
of doll making.
3rd – 8th Grade (LIMIT OF 10 STUDENTS)

Lets have fun creating a business. We will learn how to create
the products and sell them at different school functions. Learn
bookkeeping skills, marketing and sales techniques. Club
members will research and pick a charity of the clubs choice.
Learn about our chosen charity and what their needs are. If
possible we will tour their facility and present them with a check
from our business. Last year this club raised over $500.00 for 2
local animal charities and Sheppard’s Flock.

YOGA -Namaste...Yogi Bears Club
Come educate your young mind, body and spirit as we explore
child friendly yoga poses and breathing techniques using age
appropriate games, music and stories. Each class ends with 10
minutes of meditation. Yoga has proven to improve muscle
coordination, spatial awareness, concentration and ability to
follow directions in young children. Comfortable clothing and a
healthy snack required

Please fill in the sign-up form and send it back with money in an envelope marked
“GCA AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS”. Note that a Registration fee of $25 per child is
required.
One form per child (please do not put siblings on the same form).
Absolutely no refunds.
No switching Clubs after the session has begun.
There will be a $20 charge for any returned checks.
Please make all checks payable: GCAE (Good Counsel Academy Elementary).
Do not combine After School Clubs with tuition payments, Extended Care Program or
any GCA payments.
Please keep the attached sheets for your records so you will know the dates of all the
Club meetings.
Remember, the Clubs will fill up fast. Entrance is first come, first served.
Please let your child’s teacher or the GCA office know if your child will not be
attending a Club.
