In America we celebrate Easter by playing games and being with your family but how do people celebrate Easter all around the world? In Hungary “sprinkling” is a famous tradition. Sprinkling is when people throw water on another person. In Sweden kids dress up as easter witches for Easter, it’s like Halloween! In Washington D.C. they play easter egg roll on the White House lawn on Easter Monday. The bowling team has been working hard. They have had so many tournaments over the past few weekends. They have been traveling to rockford and peru for the bowling tournaments. That would make a person’s day. 4th Grade State Fair Trinity W. At school we have been working on a state fair project for a couple of weeks. So we had to find the state bird of our state, we had to find the state tree and we had to find a lot of information about our state. When we were done getting all of the information for the state we had to glue it to a board. After the board we had to make a presentation or we could make a game board. I picked a game board. We had ham, corn, mashed potatoes, and cake! Thank you Hyvee for catering. Each table was decorated a different themes by the room moms. It looked great. The tables were decorated in themes like baseball, emojis, superhero, candy shoppe, and 8th grade walk of fame.Thanks for all the hard work into making our 2017 spring dinner great! Why The Easter Bunny? Gracie G. When someone hears Easter, they think of the Easter Bunny and eggs. Since ancient times rabbits have been associated with spring. It is believed that Anglo-Saxon, Goddess of Spring. The easter bunny arrived in the 1700s. The German Immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania carried on their tradition of a egg - laying hare called “ Osterhase” or “Oschgter Haws.” The German children made nest for the bunny to lay colored eggs in, which would later be switched to Easter Baskets. Eventually the tradition of the rabbit spread across the U.S. Today, many kids wait for Easter morning to see what the Easter Bunny left for them in their easter basket.
