TRINITY INTO YOUR BRAIN
A story is told about St. Augustine, one of the great
theologians of the Church, who one day was walking on
the beach contemplating the mystery of the Trinity. He
came upon a boy who was digging a hole in the sand.
The boy was pouring water from the sea into the hole.
When St. Augustine asked him what he was doing, the
lad explained, “I’m going to pour the ocean into this
hole.”

“That’s impossible,” St. Augustine declared. “The
whole ocean will not fit in the hole you have
made.” The bad-mannered boy replied, “And you
cannot fit the Trinity into your tiny little brain.”
The legend then says the boy vanished, leaving St.
Augustine to wonder if he had been talking to an
angel.

FATHER’S DAY MASS
REMEMBRANCE
We will celebrate a special
Novena of Masses for all
fathers (living or deceased),
starting this Sunday 15th, Father’s Day. If you
want the name of your father to be included in
the Intention of Masses, please use the special
envelopes you received by mail or pick one up at
the entrance of the church, and bring them this
Sunday, June 15th.
THE CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION
ON JUNE 22, 2014
At St. Agnes, we have the
cherished tradition of a
procession in honor of the Body
of Christ—Corpus Christi. This
year it will be on Sunday, June
22nd. We will begin in the
church after 12:45 P.M. Mass
that celebrates the Feast of the
Body and Blood of Christ.
Afterwards, we will have the
procession through the gardens
around the church, ending in
the Chapel where the Blessed Sacrament will
remain exposed. Everyone is invited.
IMPORTANCE OF FATHERS
A study by Warren Mueller revealed that where
both parents attend church regularly, 72% of
their children continue in the faith. Where only
the father attends, that percentage drops to
55%, but where only the mother attends, just
15% of their children remain involved in the
church. The family that prays together, plays
together, shares together and goes to church
together, stays together, especially when fathers
set God-given example!!!

HUMOR CORNER
THE BURGLAR
Late one night, a burglar broke into a
house he thought was empty. He tiptoed through
the living room but suddenly he froze in his
tracks when he heard a loud voice say: "Jesus is
watching you!"
Silence returned to the house, so the burglar
crept forward again. "Jesus is watching you,"
the voice boomed again. The burglar stopped
dead again. He was frightened. Frantically, he
looked all around. In a dark corner, he spotted a
bird cage and in the cage was a parrot. He asked
the parrot:
"Was that you who said Jesus is watching me?"
"Yes," said the parrot. The burglar breathed a
sigh of relief and asked the parrot: "What's
your name?" "Clarence," said the bird.
"That's a dumb name for a parrot," sneered the
burglar. "What idiot named you Clarence?"
The parrot said, "The same idiot who named the
Doberman Jesus."
A FATHER’S PRAYER
O God, Giver of Life and Father of us all,
help me to be the kind of father to my
children that You are to me.
May I love unconditionally, forgive them
when they fail, counsel them when they
doubt, lift them up when they fall, guide them
in the darkness and walk beside them in the
light.
Show me, Loving Father, how to teach them,
to play with them, to share with them and to
pray with them.
Thank You for my children; thank You for
my role as a father. Amen.

Sunday’s Message
The Most Holy Trinity
THE MYSTERY OF THE HOLY TRINITY
For many people, speaking of the Trinity is equal to
using incomprehensible words, and surrounding the
whole subject in confusion and mystery.
The
principal mission of Christ, God incarnate, who
became for us Word and Message, is to make
known with love and clarity the mystery of God. He

mystery to be explored as a
reality to be experienced. One

Tanto amó Dios al mundo,
que le entregó a su Hijo único.

Mensaje del Domingo
El Misterio de la Trinidad
Dios como Trinidad no es tanto
un misterio para discutir, sino
una realidad para experimentar.
Les quiero proponer una forma
de orar pensando en La Trinidad,
haciendo de este misterio algo
mas vivo y cercano en nuestra
propia vida. Antes de irte a
dormir puedes tomar tres
minutos para revisar el día que
está terminando.
En el primer minuto piensa en el
mejor momento de todo el día.
Algo bueno que te pasó; puede
ser el no haber perdido la calma
ante un juicio falso contra ti.
Habla sobre esto a Dios-Padre y
dale gracias.

realizando tres misiones distintas.
divina.
En el segundo minuto piensa en
el peor momento del día: en algo

PROCESION DEL CORPUS CHRISTI
22DE JUNIO DE 2014
En St. Agnes es ya una tradición
la procesión del Corpus Christi.
Este año será el domingo, 22 de
junio, al finalizar la misa de 12:45
P.M. en la que celebramos la
Fiesta del Cuerpo y de la Sangre
de Cristo. Después tendremos la
procesión por los jardines de la
Parroquia, terminando en la Capilla donde
quedará expuesto el Santísimo Sacramento.
Todos están invitados.
PADRE, HIJO Y ESPIRITU SANTO
El Hijo es amor;
