The Suffix Rap
Write three sentences—each using a
word that contains a suffix.
Suffix –s means, ‘more than one,’
Suffix –ed means, ‘it’s already done!’
1. suffix –s
-ing means, ‘it’s happening now,’
(whisper) Lean a little closer and I’ll
show you how!
2. suffix –ed
I’ll brush (pause) I’m brushing!
I’ll hop (pause) I’m hopping!
I’ll walk (pause) I’m walking!
Little letters at the end of words,
make a BIG difference in what is
heard!
