Luckiest Girl Alive
by Jessica Knoll
“I picked up this book and read it because it was compared
to Gillian Flynn, and I LOVE Gillian Flynn. I was pretty
disappointed with the book, but that's not to say it doesn't
have it's strong points. This book is every parents worse
nightmare. Overall it is a good book with some heart racing
pages, but I had hoped for more twists and turns. Read it,
share with me what you thought about the ending! “

Emerald
by Phyllis A. Whiteney
”This is one of the most fantastic Phyllis Whitney
books she wrote. It is a story about a woman who
escapes from an abusive ex to take refuge in
California at the house of her aunt, who she's never
met. The aunt is a former movie star from decades
and decades ago who has a story also. Fantastic
reading, as Mrs. Whitney always is. I recommend
this book to anyone. What a surprise ending!”

Attempt is made to kidnap them, but one of the WAC has a
gun. Shots are fired and the would be kidnappers are killed
or wounded. This starts events that go deep in the
clandestine world which matches wits with both the
American and Soviets. Good exciting suspence packed read.
Audio books are great for traveling, driving to work as they
take you away from the boring drive.”

Hunted
by Meagan Spooner
""She knew now why she was here. She would see
the monster dead."
When I picked up this Beauty and the Beast retelling, I
didn't expect it to be blended with Russian folklore. And I
gotta say, I'm a sucker for Russian folklore. It takes the
traditional Beauty and the Beast story and adds a heavy
sprinkling of Ivan, the Firebird, and the Gray Wolf. This
book doesn't focus much on the romance, but the
relationship between Yeva and the Beast is one that shows
two outsiders who see something they recognize in each
other: the want for something more.
Memory Man
by David Baldacci
“Amos Decker is out on the field of his first NFL
game. On his first play ever, he gets hit so bad his
career ends practically before it began. It leaves him
with the ability to never forget a thing. Fast forward
20 years, and he walks into his house to find his
wife, brother in law and daughter murdered. Will he
be able to overcome his grief to pick up the pieces
of his life again???? “

Rogue Lawyer
by John Grisham
“Sebastian is a rogue lawyer with attitude working
just this side of the law, sort of. Working out of a
van with a staff of one, he represents clients other
lawyers wont' touch. A different style of writing for
Grisham, as this book is several short stories
threaded together.
