24 HOUR ACCESS TO FOOD AND WATER
The turkeys have 24 hour access to fresh water
and food, ensuring a low level of stress and a
comfortable existence.
TRADTIONAL BREEDS
We use a mixture of 6 very traditional slowgrowing breeds to make up our weight range
for your Christmas feast. Each bird is expertly
reared to an exact weight to produce a healthy
natural shape and creamy colour.
REARED TO MATURITY
Each bird is reared to maturity, thus ensuring
a full flavour and soft meat texture. The bird’s
welfare is extremely important to us.
NO GROWTH PROMOTERS OR HORMONES
No growth promoters, hormones or biscuit waste
is contained within the cereal based diet used to
nourish our turkeys.
FREE RANGE TURKEYS
As well as our free range Norfolk Bronze, we also
have a limited number of white feathered free
range birds available. They are a traditional slow
growing breed, are fed on oats and are game
hung for 10-14 days. A more cost effective but
equally delicious alternative to the Norfolk
Bronze.
DEEP LITTER BARN REARED
Our Barn Reared turkeys are also high welfare,
reared in large open barns on deep litter straw.
They have freedom to move around and plenty
of space, thus ensuring they are acting in a
manner as close to their natural habitat as is
possible.
GAME HUNG
After processing, the birds are ‘game hung’ for
up to two weeks to ensure the meat is allowed to
achieve full maturity giving an amazing flavour
and texture to the end product.
