Government of the Republic of Pakistan (hereinafter nse r-cfen.c<l
collectively as "the Parties" and individually as "a Party") are desirous to
deepen their mutual cooperation in the field of quarantine and plant
protection and to improve the protection of the territories of the States of the
Parties ngainst bringing in the quarantine harmful organisms and to

losses originated 'by their effects as well as to make inut.ua1 trade and
exchange of seeds, seedling and goods of plant origin, have agreetl as
follows:-

AR'I'ICLE 2
Appropriate bodies of the Parties will exchange infornintion
about occurrence and spread of the quarantine organisms mentioned in the
list of quarantine organisms of a Party in its territory:

party.
ARTICLE 4
1.
The Parties agree that upon the export of regulated consignment
paper, plastic and other materials of non-plant oripia shall be used for
packing of the commodities.
2.
*The means of transportation of the regulated consignment shall,
if considered necessary, be carefully cleaned and disinfected prior to
loading.

Appropriate bodies of the Parties are entitled to delermine
additional phytosanitary conditions for import of particular consignn~ents.

ARTICLE 6
If the occurrence af quarantine harmful organisms or any
breach of the q u W i n e regulation of the importer Party are detected, the
competent bodies of the importer party are entitled to destroy zt consignment,
send it b x k or order other suitable ineasurcs about which the appropriate

Approprinte bodies of the Parties in patlicular events shall
mutuutly provide the professional, tecllnical and other assistarlce in
quarantine and plant protection in accordance with mutual arrangement.

All disputes concerning the itlterpretation and application of
this Agreement shall be resolved by specialists of borh the Parties through
consultntions. In case the dispute is not resolvdtl~roughconsultntions, ~ l ~ c

ARTJCLE 12
The provisions of this Agreement do not affect rights n11d
obligations of the Parties, resulting from other international Treaties to
which they are Parties.
ARTICLE 13
This Agreement shaH enter into force 30 days after the date of
receiving the last notification of fulfiIrnent by the parties of their internal
