Stage 1 “ Horse Thief”
Thief
You have just ridden into town with three horses, then challenged by the bums at the livery looking to make
a fast buck. They try to blame you for stealing the ‘extra’ horses. But your gun is faster.
Standing holding rifle in hand at the gun horse at Position A, when ready the shooter says
“These are MY horses”.
Staging: Rifle loaded with 8 rounds HDOEC (Hammer down on empty chamber) held in hand at the gun
horse Position A
Shotgun loaded 6 rounds or as many as the magazine tube will hold staged on the gun horse
Position A
Pistol loaded with 5 rounds in magazine Holstered
ATB: Engage the rifle targets in this order R1,R2,R3,R4,R7,R6,R5,R4 make rifle safe on the gun horse. Pick up
shotgun, move to the second horse Position B and engage 6 shotgun targets any order. These are must kills,
if it is not knocked down, it is a miss (NO MAKE UPS). Make shotgun safe on the horse and
move safely to the Shoot Thru Cactus Position C. Engage the pistol targets in this order through the
Cactus. P1,P2,P3,P4,P4,P7,P6,P5,P4,P4. AND REPEAT. Make pistol safe then holster and
retrieve your long guns and proceed to the unloading table. Magazines will be picked up

The smoke clears and you see the leader of the bums from the Livery urging the survivors to continue the
fight. Not wanting you to get the truth out they come at you from all sides.
Standing at Position A with both hands on the horses tail ,when ready the shooter says;
“You murderin’ thieves”
Staging: Rifle load with 6 rounds HDOEC (hammer down on an empty chamber) staged on the gun
horse at Position A.
Shotgun loaded 5 rounds HDOEC on the water trough at Position B.
Pistol loaded with 5 rounds in magazine HDOEC holstered.
ATB: Pick up your rifle and engage the 6 rifle targets in a continuous Nevada sweep from either direction.
Make rifle safe on the gun horse. Move to Position B, pick up the shotgun and engage the shotgun targets
in any order. These are must kills, if it is not knocked down, it is a miss (NO MAKE UPS). Make
shotgun safe on the water trough and move to Position C. Standing one foot behind the gun horse., shoot
the pistol targets in a continuous Nevada sweep from either direction for a total of 20 shots. (4 magazines)
Make pistol safe then holster and retrieve your long guns and proceed to the unloading
table. Magazines will be picked up by the brass pickers.

Trouble seems to follow you out of town. As you are riding past Boot Hill, the townspeople who are upset
about YOU disturbing the peace are hiding out in ambush.
Standing at the horse at Position A, standing up straight with both hands at your side, shooter says
“ Stand up you cowards”
ATB: Pick up shotgun and knock down 4 shotgun targets. These are must kills, if it is not knocked down,
it is a miss (NO MAKE UPS). Make shotgun safe on the gun horse at Position A. Safely move to
Position B engage rifle targets R2, R1, R1, R3, R1, R1, R4, R1, R1, R5, Make rifle safe on gun horse. Engage
pistol targets P2, P1, P1, P3, P1, P1, P4, P1, P1, P5 and repeat.. Make pistol safe then holster and
retrieve your long guns and proceed to the unloading table. Magazines will be picked up by the
brass pickers.

As you are riding out of town you see the WANTED poster with your face on it pinned to a tree. NOW
You see why everyone was so ‘friendly’. You decide to head back into town and fix ‘their’ mistake.
Staging: Rifle loaded 9 rounds HDOEC (Hammer down on empty chamber) staged on the
gun horse at Position A
Shot gun loaded with 4 rounds HDOEC staged on the gun horse at Position B
Pistol loaded with 4 rounds in magazine Holstered
Standing behind the gun horse at Position A with your rifle at Port Arms. When ready the shooter says;
”I’m a gonna fix them”
ATB: Engage the rifle targets in a continuous Nevada sweep from either side. Make rifle safe on gun
horse and move to Position B Pick up your shotgun and engage the shotgun targets in any order. These
are must kills, if it is not knocked down, it is a miss (NO MAKE UPS). Make shot gun safe on the
gun horse. Move safely back to Position A. Draw pistol and shoot the pistol targets P1, P2, P2, P2, P3,
P3, P2, P2, P2, P1. THEN P4, P5, P5, P5, P6, P6, P5, P5, P5, P4 Make pistol safe then holster and
retrieve your long guns and proceed to the unloading table. Magazines will be picked up by
the brass pickers.

(must also have at least 5 rounds on your person)

Standing At the gun horse at Position A holding the dynamite in both hands above your shoulders
shooter says
“Get out of my way”
ATB: Throw the dynamite at the cowboy (does not need to hit him!) Pick up rifle and sweep the rifle
targets from either direction in a continuous Nevada Sweep. Make rifle safe on the gun horse. Move to the
hay bales at Position B pick up your shotgun and engage the 10 shotgun targets in any order These are
must kills, if it is not knocked down, it is a miss (NO MAKE UPS). Make shot gun safe on the hay
bales AT Position B. Move safely to Position C. Draw your pistol and engage the Texas Star FOR A
TOTAL OF 10 SHOTS if all hands are off, shoot remainder at Dump Target With NEXT 10
SHOTS sweep P1,P2,P3 from either side in a continuous Nevada Sweep. Make pistol safe then holster
and retrieve your long guns and proceed to the unloading table. Magazines will be picked up
by the brass pickers.
