4th Grade Initiative
4th Grade is a pivotal and transitional time for many youth. As youth begin
to face the many challenges of adolescence, they are more likely to begin
distracting themselves from formal organizations, friends, and family, and
to experiment with unhealthy and illegal behaviors. The Lafayette Family
YMCA wants to support and encourage kids to make good decisions and
form healthy habits that lead to a healthy lifestyle.
The 4th Grade Initiative program provides opportunities for fitness and
sports, as well as an opportunity to socialize with peers in a safe, supervised environment. It is a chance for us to engage, cultivate and connect
with youth ata time that is most crucial to their development.
This special FREE membership is available to 4th and 5th graders, but if you
would like to join as a family, we will waive your joining fee and we do offer
scholarships to help off-set some of the direct cost.
4th Grade Initiative Benefits:

Home Work Help
Monday-Thursday 4p-6p

