to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut
How many hot dogs can you eat in 7 minutes? Do you think you can down more hot dog than anyone in the
Greater Farmington area? Here is your chance to sign up for the Reno’s Drive In First Annual Hot Dog Eating
Contest to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut. The winner will receive a trophy and a photo in the Reno’s
“Wall of Fame” and the honor of being the 2015 Reno’s Drive In Hot Dog Eating Champion. All participants
must complete the application and submit it along with a $10 application fee to Reno’s Drive In in Canton, CT.
All participants must also raise a minimum $25 donation from sponsor’s using the provided sponsor form.
Sponsors, relatives and friends can sponsor you for each hot dog you eat. Example: a friend will sponsor you for
$2 a hot dog; you eat 10 hot dogs and collect $20 for Special Olympics. You get four more family members and
friends to do the same and you collect $100 in total. All proceeds go to Special Olympics Connecticut. The
contestant who raises the most money for Special Olympics wins a $25 gift certificate to Reno’s Drive In. All
checks should be made out to Special Olympics.

When: Saturday September 12, 2015 at 4pm
What: To win this competition and claim the honor of Reno’s Drive In 2015 Hot Dog Eating Champion you
must eat the most hot dogs in the seven minute time frame.
The Rules:









Contestants will have 7 minutes to consume all the hot dogs they can handle.
Contestants cannot touch the hot dogs until the starting signal.
Only entire hot dogs eaten will be counted (an entire hot dog includes the bun) ketchup and mustard will
be provided.
Contestants may drink a non-alcoholic beverage of their choice while eating their hot dogs.
Buns and hot dogs may be separated, dunked or mangled. All portions of the hot dog (including the bun)
must be eaten.
When the seven minute time limit is up contestants may not put any additional hot dogs or bun in their
mouths. They will then have 20 seconds to swallow what is in their mouths. Any contents remaining in
the contestant’s mouth at the end of the 20 seconds will not be counted.
Partially eaten hot dogs will not be counted.
Visible signs of sickness will result in disqualification.
All rules and decisions are made final by the contest judges.
