The shoreline is needed to filter water and to shelter animals.
7. If a river flows into a lake, how can runoff into the river affect the lake’s vegetation?
It will carry phosphates and nitrates into the lake which will make the wrong kind of algae bloom.

A swamp has trees and shrubs. Marshes have no trees and mostly grass.
