Israel - the unit of currency in Israel is the Israeli new shekel (ILS or NIS), which is divided into 100 agorot. British pounds, Euros and US dollars are easily exchanged in Jordan and Israel and are an alternative to using ATMs. US dollars cash can also be used for some purchases in Jordan.
