GE Healthcare Data File 18-1170-20 AC Membrane separations MidJet laboratory scale membrane separations system The MidJet™ laboratory scale membrane separations system enables you to separate, concentrate, and diafilter small volumes (up to 200-ml) of biological solutions. The system uses hollow fiber cartridges for separation processing that is easy and fast compared to other separations techniques. In addition, when used with GE Healthcare hollow fiber cartridges, you can scale your laboratory data linearly to pilot- and production-scale systems. Basic and advanced MidJet systems The basic MidJet system includes a peristaltic pump, reservoirs, tubing, fittings, backpressure valve, and a stand to mount the system components. The advanced MidJet system is comprised of a basic MidJet system plus pressure transducers and displays for precise pressure and flow control. Precise process control ensures high product recovery and minimal shear denaturation, and provides data for scale up to trials. MidGee and MidGee Hoop cartridges The MidJet system is perfectly matched to our entire line of MidGee™ and MidGee Hoop™ membrane separations cartridges. MidGee cartridges are available in a wide range of ultrafiltration and microfiltration pore sizes for a variety of laboratory, scale up and scale down applications. Figure 1.
