He gets a visit from County Paris asking him to perform the marriage between himself and Juliet on Thursday.
Friar is in a bind because he has already performed the marriage between Romeo and Juliet.

5. When Juliet returns home she begs her father's forgiveness and tells him she will agree to the wedding. What does Lord Capulet do that is totally unexpected? Explain his reaction.
He is very excited and pleased by her decision.
He is afraid that she will change her mind so he moves the wedding ahead to Wednesday.

Juliet must take the potion 24 hours earlier. this means that Romeo will not know about the change and there is no time to let him know.
7. What doubts and fears does Juliet express in her potion speech?

She will kill herself with the knife which she lays down beside her bed.
9. Explain why scene iv is so ironic?
Everyone downstairs is in a hustle/bustle preparing for the wedding. At the same time Juliet lies dead upstairs.
10. Why does Nurse discover Juliet early Wednesday morning? What does she believe has happened?
She goes up to wake her for the wedding because Paris is on the way. She believes that Juliet has committed suicide.

Nurse: She is overwhelmed with grief.
"Most lamentable day, most woeful day
That ever ever I did yet behold."
Lord Capulet: excessive grief ­ he has been robbed of his one and only child.
"Death lies on her like an untimely frost
Upon the sweetest flower of all the field."
He compares her to a beautiful flower that has been robbed of its beauty and life.
Lady Capulet: Great sorrow!
She curses the day that has taken away her child.
"Accurst, unhappy, wretched, hateful day!"

County Paris: Considers himself wronged, cheated out of his property
"Beguiled, divorced, wronged, spited, slain!
Most detestable death, by the beguiled..."
Friar Laurence: Treats it like a priest. Says Juliet is in heaven for eternity. They should accept her death with dignity and ensure not to anger the heavens by taking too long to mourn. Her death is a punishment for some wrong doing. They must hurry!
Friar is trying to speed things up by his comments. He wants to get Juliet to the tomb quickly, before she wakes up!

The heavens do lour upon you for some ill;

High will."
