CASE STUDY St. Thomas Aquinas College Using Apogee-Created Content to Nurture Student Engagement At St. Thomas Aquinas University, administrators were interested in using the Campus Life Channel to engage students as part of the Stream2 IPTV solution. While administrators on campus were excited about the Campus Life Channel to disseminate content, they found as the channel neared launch that they had not produced enough eye-catching content to increase student excitement about the channel and display a steady stream of content. GOAL Ensure St. Thomas Aquinas University is able to display attractive and exciting content upon launch. EXECUTION Apogee’s design team created a series of student-centric content pieces with information, colors, and logos that could be customized per school. Then, Apogee provided a spreadsheet to allow administrators to determine their content preferences for the screens and provide additional information as needed. After administrators returned the completed spreadsheet, Apogee customized the content to fit St. Thomas Aquinas’s needs and submitted the content to display on the Campus Life Channel. Content Creation Services Customized Eye-catching RESULTS Students, faculty, and staff at St. Thomas Aquinas were able to view the Campus Life Channel on all their devices through Stream2, as well as on digital signage in the residence halls. Viewers were informed about topics ranging from the academic calendar to inspiring quotes to sexual assault statistics through Apogee’s customized content. Students noticed that the new channel was filled with interesting and attractive content, making them more likely to acknowledge the channel while ingesting the important information they needed for success on campus. Administrators also noticed the Campus Life Channel’s addition to campus and became interested in using it to advertise to students. “Prior to launching the channel, the team reached out to contacts at the university with ideas for interesting, studentcentric content that could be customized for the school. The Campus Life Channel team was able to collaborate with the college to ensure St. Thomas Aquinas’s public image was kept in mind while still providing important content. The organization process was smooth, as the team was able to use experience from other clients to optimize the process.
