Hello [wave] I am Joseph Stalin the one responsible for the Holodomor. Now I know
what you’re thinking [angry and mean] {Joseph you are a terrible person}. Well let me tell you a
secret back then [short pause] I didn’t care for people, because they all cause trouble. “Death is
the solution to all problems. No man - no problem” (“Joseph Stalin > Quotes”). So I was a
ruthless killer, not even Hitler stood in my way, and you want to know what [your telling a
secret] sometimes I think he tried to copy cat me anyway [take a couple of steps around]. So we
signed a treaty [treaty slide] stating we were not allowed to invade each other’s country [Shake
head and, act disappointed] (The Biography.com). So as I was saying no one really mattered to
me [pause] well except my son [your proud]. So as I began my maniacal 5 year plan [mumble]
something I don’t want to talk about right now, [loude] I didn’t care what was happening (The
Historychannel.com).
So what was it exactly that I didn’t care about; well that’s what I’m here to tell you about.
Well for starters my soldiers came in to Ukraine to take the land away from the farmers,
who like all humans will put up a fight when threatened. But let’s face it what can farmers do
against armed trained soldiers. So my soldiers took all the crops and livestock; they burnt down
the people’s farms. The farmers tried to fight back by burning down their farms, killing all of
their livestock, some people even tried to hide crops from my soldiers (Ukraine Famine). But it
didn’t work and like most people without food you grow hungry. And there was no food to feed
them [starvation slide]. Soon people started dying from starvation [put hand of stomach]. But
that’s the only thing that was killing them they were also killed by my soldiers. In fact a lot of
people died by being beaten to death, or being shot, some were burned. [Look sad] And it was all
due to me (Ukraine Famine).

Now around 25,000 people were dying every day (Ukraine Famine). The sad thing is that
all of the people who didn’t die at first had to suffer more. Some of the people suffering from
starvation turned to cannibalism to ease their hunger. That’s right they turned to cannibalism and
some didn’t care whether they had the deceased permission or not (Ukraine Famine). Some
people grew so desperate they tried to steal grain from silos surrounded by my soldiers. They
would try to sneak in and steal my grain, but almost all of them were shot, rarely did one get
away (Ukraine Famine). Now I’ll stop here before I go into too much detail and things get really
graphic. If you want to know more ask these smart boys over here [gesture to group].
Now before I go here are some questions you might have. Why did I do it? Well when
you’re the Dictator of the Soviet Union, and your dream is to make your community into the
industrial superpower, you going to need supplies to make your dream come true. And you need
a way to get supplies whether it be good or bad. And I guarantee that almost all of you would do
anything you could to make your dream become reality (The Historychannel.com).
And you know what now I look back on it all this took place in one year. That’s right the
Holodomor was from 1932-1933 (Serbyn). And all of it happened because of me [cry if
necessary] I was the one who gave the order and indirectly killed around 7 million people
(Stalin’s Forced Famine). [Stutter] It was one of the worst mistakes of my life, and I wish I
would have never done it. [Conclusion] Thank you for your time I will leave you now.
