Fall 2014 Fall 2015 2014 and 2015 Difference Gross Square Feet 2,021,137 sq ft 2,032,885 sq ft +11,748 sq ft Net Assignable Square Feet 1,319,015 sq ft 1,320,441 sq ft +1,426 sq ft E&G Square Feet 592,728 sq ft 596,357 sq ft +3,629 sq ft Non-NASF 6,603 sq ft 18,660 sq ft +12,057 sq ft Most of the changes reported resulted from acquiring property, construction, renovation, or repurposing on the following projects: Foster Field acquisition, Development Offices/Auditor Offices/QEP office swap and renovation, MIR Food Safety Product Development Lab addition, and the Softball Press Box addition. We re-coded rooms in the Campus Storage-Old Field House to better reflect the occupants storing materials (used to be labeled as all-Athletic storage space, which is incorrect). We are now reporting the Softball/Soccer Concessions Building and the Texan Hall Boiler Building based on a Space Planning Committee (SPC) decision. We had great feedback from department Space Representatives this year due to a little more proactive campaign. Based on consulting with peers institutions we have revised the procedure for coding class labs per predominant use and prorating. 4. Preliminary sue score Final SUE score for 2014: Classroom: 49 (Standard is 75) Class Lab: 83 (Standard is 75) Overall: 132 (Standard is 150) Preliminary (Best Estimate) SUE score for 2015: Classroom: 66 (Standard is 75) Class Lab: 84 (Standard is 75) Overall: 150? (Standard is 150) 5. Working with IT to adopt a Content Management System for space inventory –Chris and IT are currently doing research into what other institutions are using. Update? Chris is talking with Brandon Hennington from TTU and also to other universities. 1 6. List of 110’s and 210’s in Ramport – Christine Burrell is working on this project. Update from Kailee. Pending 7. Banner Fire Code Max Problem – Update on fix? (Chris). Maria will contact Mark Hirt to see if he might offer a solution 8. Signage Update: Maria and FM will now be in charge of ordering room signs for missing sign situations. FP&C will order rooms signs for new construction, and Communication and Marketing will order signage that has more to do with logos, way finding, etc. it will all take effect when the OP is updated and approved. 9. Changes to Keep in Mind for this Next Reporting Year): a. Admin Building – Development Office under construction – completion expected in a month. Katherine has coded these rooms as 060 for this reporting year. Maria will visit this suite next reporting year. Expected completion date-Early January b. CHP Weight Room, Track, and Courts – Jay and Angie will decide how we are reporting this space for next year (how much is this space E&G versus Auxiliary). After researching other universities, TTU has some 70% auxiliary/30% E&G splits, Texas State and Sam Houston have no E&G space, and Sul Ross is claiming close to 100% E&G for their whole recreational building. We should probably be somewhere in between TTU and Sul Ross’ reporting methods. c. Rassman 102/201 Suite/203- College of Business Advising has moved from room 102 to the 201 suite. After talking with Kelsey Samsel and Mary Anne Lowe, we are now reporting room 102 as 060, function 11 (alteration space) until the College of Business finishes converting this area into a conference room. Rooms 201, 201A, 201B, 201C are now all office spaces (310) housing the advisors (we changed the CIPs to 520201 (Business Admin & Management, General), 51 (Student Service Administration) as was previously designated for room 102. 203 is also being used for advising with the same new CIP and function, but as an office service (315). d. Rassman 109 – IT was given a space alteration form because they are wanting to use this space. We will wait to make changes until form is submitted.-we have not heard back from them at allKailee will find out if they were still interested in taking over this space. e.
