Whether you enjoy a leisurely walk, a visit to the local museum, a quick game
of bowling, there are mulitple options that cater to all interests and budgets.
ANZAC
MEMORIAL
WALK
Walk is from Strezlecki Lookout to Bar Beach, then
continuing on is the Bathers Way to Merewether where there
is great cafes. Parking at Strezlecki Lookout, Scenic Drive or
Bar Beach car park.
BATHERS WAY WALK
Start at either Nobbys or Merewether Beach –10km return
NEWCASTLE BEACHES
Nobbys, Newcastle, Bar Beach, Merewether and Glen Rock
Lagoon. Remember to always stay between the flags for
safety.
Open Sundays if you want to walk up to the lighthouse and
through the Signal Master’s Cottage. It’s a short but steep
550 metre walk up to the gate.

GET SPORTY Lambton Pool – pools, diving platforms, kiddies pool, water
slides
Hunter Ice Skating – Warners Bay

art works along the water
Speers Point Park – Speers Point pool, flying fox, slides, skate
areas, bike track for juniors and jungle gyms
Lambton Park – play equipment
Blackbutt Park – slides
