DESCRIPTION
Stepping Stones
Learn this practical and kid-friendly way of making hand-made stepping stones with a
large variety of materials for decoration. Take home your unique creation and make a
special place in the garden.
Muffin Madness
Have fun baking different types of muffins and eating them too. Yum! Great for school
snacks!
Star Wars
Make your own R2D2, Death Star and Light Saber, make your way through the maze and
defeat Darth Vader. Enjoy the ‘Asteroid Hunt’, ‘Stuff the Storm Troopers’ and see if you
are up to the ‘Galaxy Ball Challenge’.
Beeswax Candles
Learn how to create candles using Beeswax sheets. You will make and take home three
different style candles.
Laygo
Enjoy building with thousands of LEGO® blocks from the popular Laygo Store! LEGO®
encourages children to build skills in problem-solving, organisation and planning through
construction. It also improves creativity, enhances communication and critical thinking
while boosting children’s motor development. One brick at a time!
Music Technology Workshops
Learn the basics of digital composition, editing and mixing utilising Garageband in these
90 minute sessions. Facilitated by the EMU Tree, Education and Music in Unison.

Dream Catchers
Dream catchers were woven by Native American people and hung above beds to
encourage good dreams. Make your own unique and stylish dream catcher using a
variety of materials. Perfect for your room at home.
Christmas Craft
Learn how to make some great Christmas treats. Make a jar of Sweet Smelling Sugar
Scrub for bath-time bliss. Make a jar of BBQ Rub – perfect for making yummy meals!
Take home a jar of each. There will also be some other treats to make and take home.
Vegetable Fun
Time for turning vegetables into works of art in this interactive cooking workshop. Let’s
make healthy and tasty food look great too!

Children aged 7-14 that complete our school holiday activities can have their
passports stamped. Please remember to bring your passports on the day of the

DESCRIPTION
Spring has Sprung – Craft and Storytime
Join us for some spring themed stories then use your creativity to make a paper spring
flower or plant basket to take home.
Make Trees for an Unley Fruit Orchard
Spring is in the air! Did you know much of Unley used to be fruit orchards? Join us and
create cardboard fruit trees to recreate our Unley orchards.
Soldiers’ Memorial Garden Walk and Craft
Take a stroll with us through the Memorial Gardens and learn about the things you see
along the way. Come back to the Museum for a memorial gardens craft activity.

DESCRIPTION
Woodworms
Hang out in the Clarence Park Community Centre Shed. Use genuine woodworking tools.
Construct a wooden item to take home. All supported by talented Shed participants
wanting to pass on their woodworking skills to the next generation. Limited numbers
only so book in soon.
Kids’ Market
Kids selling their pre-loved toys and their own home-baked goodies to other kids. $5 to
book a stall and free entry for buyers. Limited tables available, so book early. Children
must be accompanied by adults. A market experience just for kids!
Messy Play with the Playgroup Association
Playgroup SA is coming to Clarence Park Community Centre to run a Messy Play session.
Explore the value and benefits of messy play, be engaged and have fun watching your
child get messy! Bring a change of clothes and join in.
Superheros Unite!
Not allowed to use your superpowers at home? Are your superhero friends never around
when you are just busting to show them your powers of ‘amazing’? Well SUPERHEROES
OF UNLEY UNITE! Come dressed and share your amazing-ness, superhero-ness and
special-ness! Remember… YOU are here to protect the universe from evil! Superhero
snacks provided.
Letz go berserk! It’s moving madness!
Share the joy of your child’s play and get back to basics! Bounce, giggle, roll, tumble,
jump, run, laugh, sing, somersault, cartwheel, flip flop, chuckle, leap, bound and hokey
pokey your way through the morning.
Nature Crafternoon
The Christmas Pageant is only a few weeks away. Now is the time to create a special
nature Aussie Christmas wreath adorned with gumnuts and other nature treasures.
Using a low melt glue gun, create a masterpiece to hang on your front door. Presented by
Kate Hubmayer, author of Nature Crafts for Aussie Kids.
Emergency, Emergency
Flashing lights and sirens - have you seen them zooming past on the road and have
always wanted a closer look? A fire truck, police bike and rider, council digger and a St
Johns Ambulance stopping here at Clarence Park Community Centre for a community
visit. Note: may be cancelled in the event of an emergency.

DESCRIPTION
Songwriting with Cal Williams
Multi-award winning songwriter, Cal Williams Jr will host an interactive and
informative workshop on the art of songwriting on the guitar and ukulele. Participants
will learn about chord families and song structure before forming bands to write a
song and then perform it to the workshop. Please advise us if you can bring your own
instrument. A limited few instruments are available for loan during the session.
Kids’ Crafternoon
We’re having a crafternoon! Bring your creativity and imagination and we’ll supply the
glue, pop sticks, paper and glitter. This is a self-led craft session where your children
can make whatever they choose with the materials available. Please note that parental
supervision is required. No bookings required.
Young Writers’ Group
Be creative! Be inspired! The Young Writers’ Group enables young people of all
writing abilities, experience and genres to share their writing, listen to the work of
others and be a part of a unique network of passionate young writers. No bookings
required.
Cookie Decorating
Come to the library to decorate cookies! Pink, yellow, green, polka dots, squiggles and
100’s and 1000’s. Make a batch of decorated cookies to take home and share with
your family.
Kids Crafternoon
We’re having a crafternoon! Bring your creativity and imagination and we’ll supply the
glue, pop sticks, paper and glitter. This is a self-led craft session where your children

Young Young Writers’ Group
Do you love to write? Join us for our young, young writers’ group. Bring some writing
to share, join in some creative writing activities and learn new storytelling skills. No

Spring Storytime
Join us for a spring themed storytime! We’ll read some books, sing some songs and
then create a spring craft for you to take home.
Paint your own Library Bag
We will provide a lovely calico library bag for you to decorate as you please. Use
coloured fabric paints, stencils and your creativity to make a library bag just for you.
It’s Fun to be Green
What oozes, bubbles and slimes into our rivers? Explore water pollution with icky goo,
sustainable energy with solar robots and cars and create a painted plaster animal to
take home. Presented by Interactive Edutainment.
Babytime – Flowers and Furry Friends
Join us for a special babytime session exploring spring. Feel free to bring your family
and a snack to share for morning tea after the session. Please note, one session only
at 10:30am. No bookings required.
Crafternoon: Clay bead Necklace
You will have a chance to design your own piece of statement jewellery. We will use
clay to create colourful and unique beads.
