Musica Viva
Last Thursday we thoroughly enjoyed
our annual Musica Viva experience.
“Akoustic Odyssey” based in Adelaide,
performed songs from islands and
countries bordering the Mediterranean
Sea and the Aegean Sea. Josh, the
leader of the group, was born in Greece.
The children thoroughly enjoyed
listening and engaging in a new form of
music. Thank you to Mr Tim Marshall
for organising Musica Viva again this year.
Sheoak Five Assembly Item
What a brilliant job our Year 4 (Sheoak 5) children did learning their
lines - great credit to them! They took us on a journey involving
many of the world’s explorers - some well known; others not all that
familiar to us - Captain Cook and Ferdinand Magellan; but also
Giovanni da Verrazzano!
Their costumes and beards were wonderful as well as a variety of
Navy uniforms. They sang “Six Months In a Leaky Boat” and even
something from the “Spice Girls”! Thank you to Mrs Twist and
Miss Shave (visiting teacher from Notre Dame) for guiding the
children through their preparation. Well done Sheoak 5.
Kindy Enrolments for 2016
Since our last Newsletter we have been encouraged by three new Kindy
enrolments for next year. Please remind families with Kindy age children
to enrol as soon as possible. We will limit the numbers to two groups 40 students in total.

Medical Alert
Life Threatening Allergies
We have a number of children in the school with severe food allergies which include eggs,
nuts and nut products.
The children in most cases need only to touch an object which has been touched by a child that has eaten
a product containing these foods for there to be a life threatening reaction.
Please support the safety of all the children in the school and refrain from sending any egg and nut
products in your child’s lunch and snacks. These may include nutella, peanut
butter sandwiches, snickers bars, etc.
Thank you for helping to keep our children safe.
