Later, we make our way to Oak Alley Plantation. Built in 1839, this National Historic Landmark is famous for its one-quarter-mile alley of 28 live oak trees. Lunch will be included on the plantation grounds. Later in the afternoon, we have free time to explore the city on our own before we gather back at the hotel to board our motor coach for the short trip down Canal Street to the dock, where we board the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen for an evening cruise into the night filled with the sounds of a lively jazz band, while we enjoy a lavish Creole buffet in an elegantly appointed dining room.
